and other works by Kristjan Järvi and musicians of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic
Anyone who has been to the Baltic States, northern Russia or Scandinavia between May and August knows the magic of the White Nights. It doesn’t get dark, and you can, in the far north, still see the low sun even at midnight. Kristjan Järvi and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, whose members all play from memory, conjure up the magic of nighttime light with musical fairy tales and myths from Latvia, Finland and Russia – the stage becomes a magical wonderland in which anything seems possible.
