Recital with works by Gustav Mahler, Hugo Wolf, Franz Schubert, Moses Hogan, Hall Johnson, Margaret Bonds and Joseph Parrish

Not quite 25 years old, Joseph Parrish won the final round of the Young Concert Artists competition in New York in November 2022. Although still a student, he has already sung under the baton of Kent Nagano in Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Gianni Schicchi.” For his song recital with pianist Francesco Barfoed on Usedom, he spans the spectrum from Franz Schubert’s “Allmacht” to a self-composed praise of God: “Groß ist deine Treue” (“Great is your faithfulness”). German debut of a double talent.
