Despite his youth, Latvian pianist Georgijs Osokins already has an outstanding international reputation. He has made guest appearances throughout Europe as a duo with Gidon Kremer, was one of the finalists in the last Chopin Competition in Warsaw, and his CDs have attracted particular attention as an interpreter of the music of Chopin and Rachmaninoff. Here he places works of the highest virtuosity next to those of quiet contemplation.
