The young cellist Magdalena Ceple is one of the most versatile musicians in Latvia. She plays under the direction of Gidon Kremer in his Kremerata Baltica, creates ballet projects with choreographer Anna Theresa De Keersmaeker and has recorded the complete Cello Works of György Kurtág for Deutschlandradio. She is currently studying baroque cello in Munich. Together with the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation, the Usedom Music Festival awards Magdalena Ceple the Usedom Music Prize 2023.
