Songs, dances and stories from the Livonian coast
The Livonians are an ancient East Sea Finnish tribe living on the northeast coast of what is now the Republic of Latvia. Although the Livonians are very proud, their language has almost disappeared. Julgi Stalte is one of the last to master it. The spirited and inventive musician is the living voice of the Livonians and presents the musical culture of this very special ethnic group with members of her family.
