The singing traditions of Latvia are very old and already know special forms of polyphony in folklore. The Saucējas women’s ensemble has been dedicated for years to the study and preservation of this cultural heritage. The spring, shepherd and wedding songs sing of the hills and skies, forests and meadows of the Latvian countryside. Where can you experience this more beautifully than in Usedom’s oldest church, in Liepe, with its idyllic parish garden and the old belfry?
